This official 1770 Glasgow single malt, drawn from cask Batch 01 and bottled at 61.3%. The outturn was 750 bottles. The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded in 2012 and revived single malt distilling in Glasgow after more than a century. Makar Gin came first, in 2014, and helped fund the return of whisky to the city.

The spirit was drawn off copper stills fed by Loch Katrine water, for a young, fruity spirit ready for active wood. Maturation came in ex-Bourbon wood, with vanilla and a soft apple. Bottled without chill filtration, the texture stays full and the cask speaks clearly. The stills are named for the founders' families and for the MacDonald artist sisters. A young distillery, it leans on active wood to bring its whisky to life quickly. It was named Scottish Distillery of the Year in 2020. The make is bright and fruity, a modern, metropolitan take on Lowland malt.

At its natural 61.3% it is concentrated. Apple, citrus and a gentle malt lead, and the ex-Bourbon lends vanilla, honey and a soft apple. It is bright and full, the young spirit shining through. It finishes fresh, fruity and full. This is a young Glasgow Lowland single malt.
