Floral and herbal at heart, then warmed by oak: vanilla, soft caramel and a curl of Islay smoke wrap around a still-clear juniper core. Built from 22 wild Islay botanicals and matured in ex-whisky casks at Bruichladdich, it drinks more like a fine spirit than a mixer. Long, warm and faintly saline, made for slow sipping.

Description
The Botanist Islay Cask Aged takes the celebrated Bruichladdich dry gin — 22 wild botanicals foraged across the Scottish island of Islay — and rests it in oak casks that once held Islay whisky. That maturation lays warm new layers over the gin's floral, spicy frame: fine vanilla and caramel, gentle wood spice and a hint of smoky island elegance, all without smothering the clear juniper at its centre. Bottled at 46%, it is powerful and poised.
The colour is delicate gold; the nose floral and fresh with lemon zest, thyme, vanilla and a wisp of wood smoke. The palate is soft and expressive, juniper and dried flowers meeting oak spice and light caramel, and the finish runs long with warm cask notes, botanical clarity and a subtle touch of salt and smoke. Sip it neat at room temperature, or stir it into a barrel-aged Negroni.
