Earthy juniper, wild thyme and a wash of heather honey come through with real force at 51.5%, the navy-strength cut of Islay’s famous Botanist. Twenty-two botanicals are hand-foraged across the island and distilled in small batches at Bruichladdich. Long, dry and elegant, with herbs and flowers lingering well past the swallow.

Description
The Botanist is made at Bruichladdich on Islay, built around twenty-two botanicals gathered by hand from the island's hills, bogs and shorelines. This Hebridean Strength bottling takes that foraged blend and pushes it to 51.5%, a bolder, more concentrated reading of the original distilled in small batches. Every drop carries something of the wild, weather-beaten character of the Hebrides.
The nose lifts with lemon balm, coriander and floral notes over a flicker of wild thyme. The palate is intense and many-layered, earthy juniper leading into spicy herbs and a quiet sweetness of heather and honey, the higher strength giving it weight without heat. The finish is long, dry and refined. Pour it into a robust gin and tonic with lemon zest and a sprig of rosemary.
