Teremana Tequila Reposado

Teremana is the tequila of Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, made at its own distillery in Jesús María in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco in partnership with the López family. The name translates loosely as spirit of the earth, and this is the short rested Reposado in the range, produced in small batches from Blue Weber agave.

Production leans traditional for a brand of this volume. The agave is roasted three days in brick hornos, which the house uses to bring out the bright citrus notes of the highland agave, then crushed, fermented in open vats and distilled in copper pot stills built on site by local makers. The leftover agave fibre returns to the fields as compost. Rested in oak and bottled at 40%, the Reposado keeps the cooked agave and highland citrus in front with only a light vanilla cast from the wood.
