Teremana Tequila Blanco

Teremana is the tequila founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, made in small batches at its own distillery in Jesús María in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. This is the unaged blanco, the clearest read of the house agave, drawn from highland Blue Weber whose cooler red clay terroir tends toward sweeter, fruitier piñas.
The piñas are roasted in brick ovens for roughly three days, a slow steam bake that brings out the bright citrus side of highland agave, then crushed and fermented in open tanks. Distillation runs through copper pot stills hand built by local makers on the distillery grounds, which the producer credits for a cleaner, softer spirit. The result leans on light citrus, cooked agave sweetness and a soft, fresh finish, bottled at 40%. The spent agave fibre is returned to the fields as compost.
