TCRL 2017 comes from the Transcontinental Rum Line, the travelling rum range that seeks out single origins from across the world. This release is Cambodian rum distilled in 2017, matured in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength.
Cambodia is rare ground for rum, which makes a bottling like this a curiosity for drinkers chasing new origins. Eight years of warm ageing should leave a spirit with good barrel influence behind it, and at 53.9% it arrives at full power, best approached slowly or with a little water.
