Description
This is a single cask of English rum from The London Distillery Company, chosen and bottled by That Boutique-y Rum Company, the honest, no additive independent curated by Peter Holland. Drawn from a 2019 vintage and made on a pot still from molasses, it represents the young and still developing British rum scene.
Bottled unsweetened at 44.6%, the character comes entirely from spirit and cask with nothing added. As a young pot still rum it can read as light bodied and a little raw, with faint cane sweetness over a dry, spirit forward base, an honest snapshot of new wave English distilling rather than a polished tropical rum.
