Maturated from molasses in ex-bourbon wood at 57.8%, it noses on Demerara sugar, raisin, dried fruit and young wood, then delivers raisin, ginger, a caramelised note and candied fruit, with the finish bringing wood, vanilla, cocoa and coffee. Unsweetened and bottled at full proof, it keeps the Savalle's clean fruit and gentle spice intact while the cask adds chocolate and coffee depth, the higher strength still drinking easily.
