This Darsa single cask comes from That Boutique-y Rum Company, the honest, no additive UK bottler curated with a playful eye. Distilled from molasses on a column still at Guatemala's Darsa and drawn from 2008, it offers a dry, higher strength take on the Spanish style, where the absence of dosage lets the cask and spirit show through clearly.

The nose carries vanilla, milk chocolate, a floral lift and wood, the palate turns to vanilla, dark chocolate and oily oak, and the finish stays chocolatey, floral and barrel driven. Although bottled without added sugar, it reads sweet in the way good Guatemalan rum often does, all caramel and vanilla impressions rather than syrup. At 57.2% it keeps the familiar flavours while adding real punch, a dry yet approachable sipper that gives experienced drinkers strength and value without losing the easy Spanish style charm.
