Tatratea is a Slovak tea liqueur range from the Tatra mountains, black tea plus mountain herbs sold across a strength ladder that runs from gentle to very high. The Forest Fruit edition sits near the top at 62%, made with black tea from India, oak shavings and selected herbs and spices in the modern Tatratea style, drawn from the region's old tradition of herbal infusions. Wild berry sits over the tea and herb base.

The nose shows red berries, black tea and wild berry aromas. The palate is floral and sweet with lavender, raspberries, blackberry leaves and fruity candy, the finish long. As one of the most potent entries in the range, it concentrates a lot of berry and floral character into each drop, so a small measure carries a drink. It contributes deep wild berry sweetness, a floral lavender lift and tannic tea structure, well suited to a berry forward long build or a measured pour over plenty of ice. It can be enjoyed neat or stirred into tea. Mind the high strength when balancing.
