Tatratea Coconut Tea Liqueur

Tatratea is a Slovak tea liqueur range from the Tatra mountains, black tea plus mountain herbs across a wide ladder of strengths. The Coconut edition sits low at 22%, made with black tea from India, oak chips and selected herbs and spices in the modern Tatratea manner, drawn from the Tatra tradition of simple herbal infusions of honey, herbs and alcohol. Here the tea base meets a sweet toasted coconut character.

The nose is sweet toasted coconut with liquid honey, milk tea and brown sugar. The palate is balanced with palm blossom, tea, honeycomb and flowers, the finish long and delicate. As one of the softest and sweetest entries in the range, and at modest strength, it is the most easygoing to mix. It brings coconut sweetness, honeyed body and a tea backbone to a glass, well suited to tropical and tiki style long drinks, an iced tea, or a coffee. It can also be enjoyed neat or on ice. The gentle strength makes it forgiving when balancing a sweeter cocktail.
