Crisp Seville bitter oranges carry this one, zest and juice woven into Tanqueray’s classic juniper spine, with vanilla softening the edges. The fruit is the genuine article: bitter oranges from the region, too sharp to eat but ideal for the still. Long, fruity and unmistakably sunlit.

Description
Tanqueray has run on four distillation passes since Charles Tanqueray settled his London Dry recipe in 1830, and for this bottling the house looks south to Andalusia. Seville oranges, a bitter variety that ripens golden on the city's trees and is far too sharp to eat from the hand, are pressed into service to refine the gin, following a thread of inspiration that runs back to Tanqueray's own early recipes.
The nose is fresh and citrus-forward, all bright orange zest. The palate keeps the familiar Tanqueray juniper but wraps it in crisp, juicy orange and a rounding note of vanilla, with a flicker of warm spice underneath. The finish is long, fresh and fruity. Build it tall with a Mediterranean tonic and a thick wheel of orange, or use it to lift a citrus-led cocktail.
