Description
Charles Tanqueray spent years chasing the right formula, and since 1830 the house has stuck to its signature four-pass distillation. Blackcurrant Royale is a playful flavoured extension of that lineage: a London Dry base recoloured a bright purple and steered firmly towards fruit, designed to come alive the moment it meets tonic water.
The nose is intense with blackcurrant, fresh pastry and vanilla; the palate stays warm and floral, the berry fruit underpinned by vanilla and a delicate orchid note. It finishes long and sweet-edged. Build it tall over ice with a light tonic and a few fresh blackcurrants to echo the fruit.
