A distillery bottling of Tamnavulin, drawn from cask Batch 001157 and bottled at 40%. Established in 1966 on the banks of the River Livet, Tamnavulin is a light Speyside malt. It is one of the few distilleries that sits right on the River Livet.

It was drawn off stills whose purifiers lift only the lightest vapours, for a delicate, floral spirit. Maturation and a sherry finish laid dried fruit over the fruity malt. Carrying no age, it leans on apple, pear and a gentle vanilla. The cool Speyside climate gives a slow, even maturation over the years. For decades the malt fed the Whyte and Mackay blends rather than single malt. Mothballed in 1995, the distillery reopened in 2007 and launched its single malt in 2016. Purifiers on the spirit stills keep only the lightest vapours, for a delicate spirit. Water is drawn from the Easterton Spring, filtered through limestone.

Bottled at 40%, it is rounded. The Oloroso brings dried fruit, Christmas cake and a nutty depth, and a gentle vanilla from the wood, with pear, hay and a floral lift. The texture is light and smooth, the fruit lifted by honey. The finish runs light, fresh and gentle. This is the mill on the hill malt of Glen Livet.
