Takamaka Rum Blanc is the foundational expression from Takamaka’s Seychelles Series, produced at the Trois Frères Distillery on Mahé and bottled at 40.2% ABV. It begins with a high-proof molasses distillation in a continuous column still, which yields a clear, clean spirit, then is brought to bottling strength with pure island spring water. A small portion of high ester pot still distillate is blended in to add aromatic lift and a subtle creaminess without overwhelming the light character.
The result is a fresh, crisp white rum with a soft aromatic frame driven by molasses sweetness, fresh sugarcane hints, citrus and gentle spice, offering a versatile base for cocktails that need clarity and rum presence without heavy cask or oak influence. Its structure supports classic mixed serves like daiquiris, mojitos and other long drinks where a balanced, clean rum is essential.
