Taco Tuesday Tequila Blanco Cactus Edition is a 100% agave Blanco built from Blue Weber agave and distilled in the town of Tequila, Jalisco. The headline is the vessel, a hand made and painted ceramic pot shaped as a cactus in a sombrero, while the liquid is contract produced at Casa Maestri, a sizeable multi brand facility in the heart of the agave country rather than a small estate house.
As an unaged Blanco it shows the agave directly. The nose runs to fresh agave, citrus fruit and green herbs, the palate to cooked agave and lime peel, with a long close. Bottled at 40%, it is a straightforward sipping and mixing Blanco where the novelty ceramic and the clean agave character do the talking.
