Description
This Planteray release is a single cask TDL rum from Trinidad, vintage 2011, bottled by Maison Ferrand for the 2024 Rum Piraten selection and given just over thirteen years of age. The base is light, fragrant column-still spirit from Trinidadian molasses, matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at 47.2%. Unusually for the line, this one is recorded as unsweetened, so it should read cleaner and drier than a typical dosed Planteray. Expect the soft caramel, vanilla and tropical fruit of the living Trinidad style, carried by the oak from more than a decade in cask.
