This is a distillery bottling from Trinidad Distillers Limited under the Angostura name, the No. 1 Cask Collection Batch 2, drawn from the living producer behind Trinidad's light and fragrant house style. It is a 16 year old blend, certified unsweetened and bottled at a soft 40%.

The column-distilled molasses base is clean and aromatic, and the cask collection shows Cognac-barrel influence over a fruity, lightly roasted profile of tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla and oak. The palate brings nutty almond notes, gentle sweetness and ripe fruit, finishing dry with Cognac and a touch of oak. It stays smooth and approachable rather than deep or powerful, the maturity adding polish more than weight. A gentle, fruit-forward Trinidad sipper for those who like soft, well-rounded rum and the mellow side of an aged TDL blend.
