Stroh 38

Stroh 38 is a lighter-strength version of Austria's well known Stroh inlander rum, a dark spiced spirit rather than a traditional cask-aged Caribbean rum. Bottled at 38%, it carries the brand's signature dense, aromatic profile of vanilla, baking spice and rich rum flavouring.

This is a kitchen and cold-weather staple as much as a drink, used to flavour cakes, fold into hot punch and lace tea and grog. Expect a sweet, syrupy intensity with warming spice, very much a flavouring and mixing rum in the central European tradition rather than a dry spirit to nurse on its own.
