This is a Strathisla single malt, chosen and bottled by Signatory Vintage, a 25 year old Speyside malt from 1979, drawn from cask 1533 and bottled at 57.2%. The outturn was 622 bottles. Established in 1786 as the Milltown distillery in Keith, on the River Isla in Speyside, Strathisla is the oldest working distillery in the Highlands. It is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands.

It was worked through short pot stills for a rich, fruity make, for the rich, fruity Speyside make Strathisla is known for. A sherry butt held it, the wood lending raisin and walnut. By this age the rich spirit rounds into honey, ripe pear and a nutty depth. Years in oak round the spirit, the honey and dried fruit deepening with age. The Isla valley's soft water and old stills shape a honeyed, fruity spirit. Strathisla is the oldest continuously working distillery in the Scottish Highlands, founded in 1786.

At a full 57.2% it is intense yet fruity. The Oloroso brings dried fruit, fig and a nutty depth, and a rich, fruity sweetness meet a quiet vanilla from the refill oak. Beneath it run honey, pear and a soft spice. It finishes clean, fruity and rich. This is the fruity Speyside heart of Chivas Regal.
