Description

Smutje Rum XO is a ten year old Caribbean blend, a nautically themed bottling whose name nods to the ship's cook of seafaring tradition. Built on molasses rum and drawing on Caribbean origins, it carries a decade of age behind it.

Matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40%, it should show the rounded character such ageing usually gives a molasses rum, namely vanilla, toffee, soft oak and gentle dried fruit. With its approachable strength and aged-blend styling, this is an easygoing sipper made for relaxed drinking rather than intensity, a friendly XO for everyday enjoyment.
