Slyrs Bavarian Cream Liqueur comes from the Slyrs distillery on Lake Schliersee in Bavaria, a maker of single malt whisky, and is bottled at 17%. It is built around that single malt, distilled from Bavarian barley, blended with real Alpine chocolate and cream into a whisky cream liqueur. The whisky base is what sets it apart from a plain dairy cream liqueur, lending spice and grain depth under the sweetness.

The nose carries creamy whisky aromas, cocoa and subtle chocolate, the palate creamy chocolate with mild whisky spice and a full bodied texture, the finish long and soft with fine chocolate nuances. As a cream liqueur it is best served slightly below room temperature, around 16 to 18 degrees, and once opened it is a dairy product with a finite life, so keep it cool. On a menu it pours neat as a dessert drink and pairs with chocolate cake, brownies, mousse or tiramisu, while its body and cocoa note make it a rich base for an after dinner mixed serve over ice.
