Single Cask Nation selected this single cask of Foursquare distilled in 2010 and aged ten years, sharing the same DNA as the St Philip distillery's ECS range in a more focused, lower proof format. It is the classic Barbados pot-and-column blend, matured in ex-bourbon oak with no added sugar.
At 55.9% it leans dry and wood-forward, with toasted oak and roasted nuts framing coconut, pineapple, butterscotch and citrus, the typical Foursquare varnish and orange notes flickering through. A touch of acetic acid on the nose gives way to a naturally sweet, lightly tropical palate, then a long, dry, tannic finish.
