Silver Seal T.D.L 1991

This Silver Seal bottling comes from Trinidad Distillers Limited, the living Angostura distillery known for light, fragrant column still rum, here given the patience of long ageing. The Modena house, respected by collectors for its single casks, presents a 1991 vintage aged twenty five years and bottled at 51%.

Matured in ex-bourbon oak, the quarter century in cask brings depth without heaviness: oak, caramel and tobacco frame strawberry on the nose, while the palate turns to orange peel, vanilla and a ripe banana note. The finish lingers woody and warm with chocolate and toffee. A characteristic minty TDL accent runs underneath, the kind of fresh herbal lift that marks the distillery's style. At a measured strength, it makes an approachable yet long aged window into living Trinidad rum.
