Silver Seal Old Navy Rum 2024 is a navy strength blend from the collector respected Italian house Silver Seal, drawn from column still molasses distillate across multiple origins and bottled at 57%. Silver Seal built its name on Demerara and Caroni single casks, and a Guyanese thread runs through this one, with tasters picking out Enmore in the blend.

This is a darker, more savoury take on the navy style rather than a sweet one. The nose is roasted and woody with cedar and a clear spirit warmth, the palate stays roasted and earthy with a notable sour edge, and the finish brings allspice, prunes and that sourness over wood. There are richer notes of banana, coffee and chocolate underneath that give it body.
