Silent Pool Rose Gin

Silent Pool sits on the Albury Estate in the Surrey Hills, beside the spring-fed lake of legend that gives the distillery its name. To coax out its delicate rose character, the team distil with a rose-tea infusion rather than petals alone, then lift the supporting cast of pear, bergamot and cardamom so the flower has space to express itself rather than being buried under the usual botanical weight.

The nose opens with rose, lavender and camomile over cool juniper. On the palate it stays dry and composed, a whisper of sweetness carrying strong floral notes alongside bright citrus, before a long, clean finish. Pour it over plenty of ice with a light tonic and a single fresh raspberry to echo the rose without crowding it.
