Silent Pool Intricately Realised Gin

Silent Pool takes its name from a still, spring-fed lake near the Surrey distillery, whose clear water goes into every bottle and into the local legend that gives the place its air of mystery. The gin is built from twenty-four hand-picked botanicals, distilled with an eye to sustainability, and balances floral, fruity and spicy notes rather than letting any one dominate. Orange blossom, bergamot, honey and lavender all earn their place beside the juniper.

The nose is fresh and floral, juniper and orange blossom over light spice. The palate is genuinely complex: juniper, bergamot, the honeyed sweetness and lavender threaded with subtle herbs, before a long, soft, gently spiced finish carrying fine citrus. Make an elegant gin and tonic with dry tonic and an orange twist or a sprig of lavender to draw out the flowers.
