Description
Shizuoka Single Cask #2021-969 is a 4 Years Old single malt from Gaiaflow's Shizuoka distillery in Shizuoka prefecture. One of a pair of 2021-vintage single casks released at the same strength, it showcases the distillery's non-peated KS production drawn straight from bourbon oak at cask strength, giving an unfiltered look at what Shizuoka is building in its early years.
Matured in an Ex-Bourbon cask and bottled in 2025 at 52.7%, the spirit delivers the clean, lightly creamy character the Shizuoka house style is known for: vanilla and soft cereal grain, with a modest citrus note and just enough wood influence to add structure without masking the fresh new make underneath. An event only bottling, it is the sibling to cask #2021-968.
