Description
Shizuoka 4 Years Old 2019 is a single cask cask strength single malt from Gaiaflow's Shizuoka distillery in Shizuoka prefecture, drawn from an Ex-Bourbon cask, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2023 as a limited event release. This release shares its vintage year and cask type with several of the distillery's 2019 single cask event bottlings, offering a consistent reference point for comparing individual cask variation across the programme.
At 50.5%, the spirit shows vanilla, fresh apple, light cereal and a subtle floral note from the new make, all shaped by four years in American oak. Gaiaflow's cedar washbacks contribute a gentle aromatic quality that is a recurring signature across the Shizuoka single cask series. A straightforward and reliable representation of the 2019 production year at four years of age.
