Floral and fruit-bright on the nose, with lemon leading into juniper, orange and a spiced edge. The character comes from home: native Kawakawa leaf for a peppery snap and Totara wood for earthy, resinous depth, distilled in small copper-still batches. Unmistakably New Zealand, and proudly so.

Description
Founded by friends Mark Neal and Daniel McLaughlin, Scapegrace takes its name from an old word for a likeable rogue, and the gin carries that adventurous streak. The Classic is made in small batches in a copper still for close control over how the botanicals are drawn out, with two indigenous ingredients setting it apart: Kawakawa leaves for a distinctive peppery bite and Totara, a native tree, for earthy, resinous notes. Double Gold at San Francisco in 2017 followed.
The nose is floral and fruity, lemon to the fore. The palate brings juniper, citrus and orange laced with spice, finishing long. Pour it into a tall glass with tonic and a wheel of orange to let its brighter, fruitier side shine.
