This Unshared Cask for Belgium comes from Savanna on Reunion, drawn from the distillery's traditional molasses line rather than its agricole or Grand Arome ranges. A 2010 vintage aged eleven years, it is finished in Cognac and Armagnac casks, brandy wood that strongly shapes the result, and bottled unsweetened at a serious 60.5%.

The brandy casks bring grape, apple and red fruit, while the spirit and wood together throw off a distinctive herbal, minty, eucalyptus character that sets this apart. The palate is woody and spicy with herbs and menthol, and the finish carries raisin, oak and fruit. It is dry, powerful and structured, with the strength asking for time or a little water.
