Santa Cruz de Tenerife Perla De las Islas Ronmiel de Canarias is a ronmiel, the traditional Canary Islands blend of rum and honey protected by its own geographical designation. The honey is central, giving a sweet, mellow drink quite distinct from a dry aged rum.
Bottled at just 20%, this is a low-strength liqueur built for easy, sweet sipping rather than serious tasting. Expect rich honey over a light rum base, soft and rounded, the sort of thing served chilled or over ice as an after-dinner pour or a holiday souvenir.
