Description
Sangre de Vida Corazon is an anejo tequila distilled from Blue Weber agave, presented in a bottle hand painted with motifs from Mexican history and culture. As an anejo it spends at least a year in oak, placing the cask alongside the agave as a co lead rather than a finishing touch, and it is built for slow sipping.
The nose opens on cooked agave, oak and caramelised honey, with baked sweet potato, vanilla, a floral compote note and a touch of oxidised pear. The palate follows the aromatics and adds a few elegant turns, the oak sitting in support rather than dominating. The finish is layered and supple, long and rich, rounded out by earthy notes that ground the sweeter elements. Bottled at 40 percent.
