Description
Samaroli Secret Rum 2004 is a single cask Nicaraguan from the historic Italian bottler Samaroli, a house known for elegant, balanced and unsweetened single casks usually presented at deliberately measured strength. Distilled in 2004 and aged nineteen years in Europe, it reflects the slow, gentle continental maturation Samaroli favours.
Column distilled from molasses and raised in ex-bourbon, it should drink in the clean, dry Nicaraguan style, vanilla, soft caramel and oak spice with a leaner spirit-forward edge. Bottled at 50% with nothing added, it leans on poise and clarity rather than weight or sweetness, very much in keeping with the Samaroli reputation.
