This expression sits within the Togouchi range but draws only on the Sakurao distillery's own malt spirit, reflecting the coastal Hiroshima character of the house rather than a blend of multiple sources.
Matured across Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the whisky develops a layered profile: vanilla and light cereal from the American oak alongside dried fruit, spice and a gentle nuttiness from the Oloroso. The sherry cask influence brings weight and warmth while the coastal Hiroshima maturation environment adds a soft freshness to the finish.
