Sakurao Single Malt is a no age statement expression from Sakurao Brewery & Distillery in Hiroshima, bottled at 43% for Europe. The distillery launched in 2017 near the island of Miyajima and has quickly established its single malt as a reliable showcase of the house character, drawing on the mild coastal climate of the Seto Inland Sea coast for a measured, rounded style.
Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks, the whisky shows dried fruit, honey and a leafy, herbaceous quality that sits naturally in the lighter, clean profile typical of the distillery's make.
