    S. Maria al Monte Limoncino Portofino is an Italian lemon liqueur that draws on lemons from the Portofino region of the Ligurian coast. Made to a traditional recipe by GEFIME, it follows the classic limoncino method, with selected lemon peel macerated in alcohol so the citrus oils carry straight into the spirit. Bottled at 30%, it lands a full bodied citrus character that holds a balance between sweetness and refreshing acidity.

The nose is fresh lemon peel with fine floral notes and a subtle sweetness, while the palate is intensely fruity with a clean balance of sweet and slightly tart citrus, finishing on a lingering citrus freshness and a hint of herbal spice. In a drink it brings bright acidity, sweet citrus body and an aromatic zest lift that works against bubbles and soda. It serves well chilled or over ice as a classic digestif after a meal, and steps into cocktails such as a Limoncino Spritz or a lemon martini. For a summery serve, pour it long over ice. Keep it cold so the citrus stays sharp and fresh on the pour.
