Rumclub Private Selection Edition 63, nicknamed The Beast, is an undisclosed blend assembled by Spirit of Rum, its exact composition known to only one person. Drawn from multiple countries and bottled at 62 percent, it sits in Hampden adjacent territory, trading on fruit and funk at strength while folding in extra layers of menthol, coconut and caramel for a surprisingly composed whole.

The make up stays secret, though the integration and ripe fruit suggest some older parts in the mix. Expect tropical fruit and coconut on the nose over a clean ester thread, then a palate of fruit, coconut and oak with a faint glue and varnish lift that marks the higher esters.
