Rum Runner Indonesian Rum is a six year old molasses rum from Indonesia, a single origin bottling that reaches for the funkier, more characterful side of island rum. Aged in ex-bourbon and bottled at 51% with no added sugar, it is built around honest spirit and cask.

The profile is distinctive and a little wild, vegetal, toasted and fresh on the nose, then allspice, dark fruits, prunes and roasted almonds on the palate, with a herbal, astringent bitterness that recalls high ester Jamaican and Demerara styles. The finish stays woody, fresh and faintly vegetal. The unsweetened, full bodied delivery suits the assertive character, and the strength gives it presence without harshness.
