Roner Pistachio Cream Liqueur is a nut cream liqueur from the South Tyrol (Alto Adige) distillery Roner, a family house in Tramin on the Wine Route with a long record in liqueurs and distillates. It is built around pistachio, whose intense flavour is rounded by a creamy texture and held at 17%, giving a soft, dessert leaning liqueur that reads as both nutty and rich. As a dairy cream emulsion it belongs to the chilled, finite life category rather than the aged spirits.

The nose carries intense pistachio aromas lifted by sweet cream, while the palate is creamy and full bodied, balancing nutty pistachio against a mild sweetness before a velvety, soft finish. In a drink it works much as a cream liqueur should, adding body, sweetness and a pale green nutty colour rather than acidity, which makes it a natural for after dinner cocktails, alexanders and creamy espresso style serves. It also folds into desserts such as tiramisu, panna cotta and chocolate creations, or over ice cream and pastries. Serve it chilled or over ice, and once opened treat it as a dairy product and keep it refrigerated.
