Ron Jeremy Aka The Hedgehog Gin

This gin shares its mischievous branding with the famous rum line of the same name, distilled in the Netherlands in small batches using traditional methods. The makers keep a classic backbone of juniper, coriander and citrus peel, then reach for rarer botanicals, guava, cardamom and pepper, to push the spirit somewhere more tropical and spiced than the usual dry style.

The nose is juniper-led with tropical guava and citrus, lifted by spicy nuances. The palate is soft and full-bodied, juniper and sweet fruit meeting cardamom warmth and a hint of pepper, while the finish stays long, warm and gently spiced with fruity undertones. Serve with tonic and a twist of grapefruit, or shake into a Gin Basil Smash for the herbal counterpoint.
