Ron Espero Caribbean Coffee & Rum Liqueur joins mature Dominican rum with intense coffee and fine vanilla into an aromatic coffee rum liqueur. The base is a rum from the Dominican Republic matured for around seven years, refined with coffee from the Matagalpa region of Nicaragua, one of the country's best known coffee growing areas. The beans are roasted locally, combined with Madagascar vanilla pods and ground by hand. It is bottled at 40%, firmer than many coffee liqueurs.

The nose is intense coffee with fine vanilla and gentle rum, while the palate is strong coffee with a natural sweetness, vanilla and the warm depth of mature rum, finishing silky and long on gentle coffee and vanilla. For a bar it brings roasted coffee flavour, sweetness and a rum backbone, and at full strength it stands up well in a shaken drink. It is the natural base for an Espresso Martini, works in a White Russian style serve and in dessert drinks, and pours neat or slightly chilled over ice after a meal.
