Bermudez is one of the three long established Dominican houses, and this Anejo Selecto sits at the everyday end of its range, a young aged ron in the soft Spanish style. The base is molasses, column distilled and light, with the cask providing what flavour there is over a clean spirit.

Seven years of ageing gives a straightforward, gentle profile, caramel and vanilla on the nose and a butterscotch sweetness on the palate, finishing simply with more caramel. It is a light, easy rum without much length or depth, the kind of soft Dominican pour built for casual sipping or mixing rather than close study.
