Romana Sambuca Liquore Extra is a traditional Italian sambuca that has long stood for authentic sambuca enjoyment. It is made to a closely guarded recipe in which aniseed, elderberry, sugar and other selected ingredients give it its unmistakable, pleasantly sweet and spicy flavour. Bottled at 40%, it sits at full sambuca strength, in the classic sweet anise style.

The nose is an intense aniseed aroma with spicy sweet notes and light Mediterranean herbs, while the palate is full bodied and distinctly sweet with dominant aniseed and gentle spice, pleasantly mild and harmonious, finishing long, sweetish and warm with a fine liquorice note. For the trade it delivers concentrated anise flavour and sweetness, a way to add liquorice scented aromatics and body to a serve. In keeping with Italian custom it is served Con Mosca with three coffee beans that symbolise health, prosperity and happiness, and it can be flambéed as a digestif after a meal.
