Roku Gin The Japanese Craft Gin Sakura Bloom Edition 6

Roku is Suntory's gin, built on the philosophy of Shun, harvesting each botanical at its seasonal peak, and this Sakura Bloom edition leans into the cherry blossom that gives Japanese spring its meaning. Suntory invited washi artist Eriko Horiki to craft a label capturing falling sakura petals in delicate pink and metallic tones, while the six-sided bottle carries embossed botanicals. It is a tribute to Hanami, the festival of blossom-watching, and to the fleeting beauty the petals stand for.

The nose is gentle and fresh, all cherry blossom. The palate is soft and smooth, sweet and rich yet elegant, the sakura note carrying a green, vegetal undertone. The finish runs long. Serve in a gin and tonic with a strip of grapefruit peel, the classic Roku garnish, to frame the floral character.
