Roberto Cavalli Vodka is produced in Italy by Distillerie Francoli, and the Night Edition is a limited release built around a bold black bottle. The spirit is made from selected Italian grains and reduced with clear spring water drawn from the Apennines, then taken through multiple distillations and a filtration stage to refine it. Grain gives a balanced, faintly sweet base, and the repeated distillation and filtering smooth out the rough edges to leave a clean, elegant spirit at 40%.

The nose is fresh, with a touch of citrus over a subtle cereal note. The palate is smooth and elegant with a light sweetness and gentle spice, and the finish is clean and long. Since this edition is pitched at the evening, lean into a Black Russian: 50ml vodka and 25ml coffee liqueur stirred over ice in a rocks glass. The vodka's faint spice and clean body carry the coffee well, and it suits a late drink after dinner, perhaps with a square of dark chocolate.
