Rhum J.M Multimillesime 2002 2007 2009 is a vintage blend from J.M, the far northern Martinique distillery working the volcanic terroir at the foot of Mont Pelee since 1845. Marrying three years in one bottling lets the house layer maturity and nuance while keeping the spirit approachable.

Distilled from fresh cane juice on a column still and matured in oak, it shows J.M's fruit forward, balanced style. The nose carries vanilla, wood, dried fruit and prune, the palate adds cherry and floral fruit to cane with coconut and gentle spice, and the finish stays woody, sweet edged and elegant with a cigar note. Bottled unsweetened at 42.3 percent, it is dry leaning yet layered and easy to follow, an agricole that rewards attention without asking for it, equally at home as a relaxed neat pour.
