Description
Rest & Be Thankful is a Scottish independent, and this long-aged Long Pond carries the ITP pot still marque from the 1998 vintage, selected for La Maison du Whisky. After 25 years in ex-bourbon oak it is bottled as a single cask at 51.5% cask strength.
No confirmed notes accompany this release. Long Pond is a historic Wedderburn house, funky and fruit-forward, and a quarter century of maturation would be expected to fold its rubber and brine-edged hogo into ripe tropical fruit, oak and dried fruit, sometimes with an earthy, faintly peaty quality drinkers note in old Long Pond. At cask strength and unsweetened it is an old-style Jamaican for the patient pot still enthusiast.
