Rest & Be Thankful is a Scottish independent, and this Clarendon carries the MBK pot still marque from the 1998 vintage, labelled Pure Single Jamaican Rum to mark its 100% pot still, single distillery origin. After 24 years in ex-bourbon oak it is bottled as a single cask at 53.8% cask strength without added sugar.
No confirmed notes exist for this cask. A long-aged Clarendon pot still of this type would be expected to carry ripe tropical fruit, oak spice, dried orange and a measured solvent funk, with decades of ageing rounding the sharper edges. The Pure Single designation and cask strength, unsweetened format signal exactly the kind of transparent, estate-driven Jamaican independents are prized for.
