Rest & Be Thankful selected this Clarendon as a single cask of marque MBK, drawing on the central Jamaican workhouse whose pot-still marks deliver real depth with age. At twenty-three years in ex-bourbon oak it carries everything one expects from a mature Jamaican, fruit, spice and roasted depth in balance.

The nose runs to prunes, tropical fruit, spice and a roasted note, and the palate follows with roasted tropical fruit, spice and dried apricot, a rich and layered middle. The finish turns oily and warm with ester and citrus. Bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, this is a generous old Clarendon where long maturation has folded the ester intensity into dark fruit and baking spice.
